A Recap on recent SA Bred Winners

On June 11th Capital Legend showcased an impressive racing victory at Happy Valley in Hong Kong. This talented six-year-old gelding, trained by Caspar Fownes, after settling back in the field, he surged to win the Class 4 1650M convincingly. Bred by Kambula Stud, the son of Capitalist was sold for $90,000 at the Inglis Premier 2020.

The Sprinkler | Jointly bred by Kambula Stud and Price Bloodstock Management, this horse is trained by Richard & Chantelle Jolly.

Kirkliston Blu |This horse recently secured a 1st place finish at Morphettville on June 21, 2025, in the Sportsbet Jockey Watch (Bm78) over 2500 metres. Bred by Kirkliston Stud and trained by Ms Ros Day, Kirkliston Blu has placed four times in its last five starts.

Fast Bubbles | A four-year-old gelding by Hellbent, bred by Terran Investments SA, Fast Bubbles is trained by Wayne Francis & Glen Kent at Strathalbyn. He won at Morphettville on June 21, 2025, over 1200 metres. Congratulations to all connections!

Weekend Highlights Local Success

Last weekend at Caulfield, Sixteen Reasons made a strong finish after coming from behind in the 1100m race. Bred and partly owned by SA Breeder Mark Crawford, he is trained by Will Clarken & Niki O’Shea.

Additionally, at Morphettville, several SA breeders celebrated success:

Nicish, Third career victory for the Nicconi Filly for Phillip Stokes Racing, Bred by Mill Park and Bob & Helen Dinham.

Left Turn Clyde narrowly secured a win, bred and trained by Stuart Gower, and is the son of Rosden Park's Akeed Mofeed.

Sir Now, bred by Cornerstone Stud and owned and trained by Darryl Hewitt, recorded his seventh win (along with four additional placed efforts) from just 13 starts.

Voltage Point, marked his sixth career win, bred by Summerset Park and trained by Chris Bieg, who is among the part owners.
